Match report Batting first, the Shenley openers faced a dangerous spell of bowling from Jamie and Dan, constantly chipping away at the batsmen’s patience by bowling a lovely line and length. The rest of the bowlers followed in similar fashion, finding good swing and variable bounce on an inconsistent wicket, ultimately resulting in the Shenley batsman struggling to pick up the run rate and a consistent stream of wickets were taken as a consequence. Wicket of the day however has to go to Jamie Shaw with a great direct hit run out that shocked no one more than his berko teammates.

Berko felt confident of chasing 108 to win considering the good form we were in, however the wickets of both openers for 10 runs each put berko in a tricky situation. Dale played an uncharacteristically conservative innings to stick around until the end, with a good knock from Ollie Brown helping berko reach the target with a few overs to spare.

As has been the way with the majority of this season partly down to the abundance of green wickets, the bowlers were the stars of the show once again, leaving little to do for the batsmen and ultimately increasing our unbeaten streak.
