Berkhamsted Cricket Club - Spot the Cricket Ball

Spot the Cricket Ball Competition

Help Berkhamsted Cricket Club celebrate its 150th Birthday and win amazing prizes!

Cricket balls and windows don’t usually mix but as Berkhamsted Cricket Club celebrates its 150th birthday in 2025, we are inviting you to take part in a free competition with a chance to win fabulous prizes (including a pair of silver cufflinks worth over £300 from Baileys jewellers and lots of meals vouchers from our lovely pubs and restaurants).  Our batters have smashed some huge sixes out of the ground and right into the windows of some of our wonderful shops in the centre of Berkhamsted. Your challenge is to find the balls in the shop windows anytime from April 26th and you have until June 2nd to submit your entries

To play the Spot the Cricket Ball Competition, all you need is the Entry Form, a pen and your observation skills.  Participating shops are all on the High Street and Lower Kings Road and will be displaying a large, blue Spot the Cricket Ball competition poster in the window.  Your challenge is to then find the cricket ball sticker situated somewhere in that front window

When you have spotted each Cricket Ball, mark its location on your competition sheet by drawing a circle with the shops unique number (shown on the competition poster in the window) in the middle.  If a shop has multiple windows, think of the whole shop front area as one big window.  We’ve marked the location of the ball in shop 150 on the sheet to get you started.

There are lots of cricket balls to find and they are all in windows between the The Old Mill at the east end of the High Street up to the mini roundabout by Pizza Express at the west end.

When you have spotted the Cricket Balls in all the shop windows, make sure you have written in your name and contact details and hand it in to the Cricket Club pavilion bar (off Castle Hill) or scan and email us a copy to SpotTheCricketBall@berkhamstedcc.com  before the 2nd of June.

All correct forms will be put into a prize draw with the winners announced in the Pavillion Bar at our #FamilyFriday evening at 6:30pm on 13th June.  Come down and see if you have won and stay for the fabulous cricket, bar and food on offer.

We will be handing out the competition forms at a stall in the market on Saturdays 26th April and 3rd May, along with our free 40 page Souvenir Programmes. After those dates, the forms can be downloaded from here.

We hope you will join in the fun and show your support for one of Berkhamsted’s venerable sporting institutions – Good Cricket Ball spotting!
