About Berkhamsted Cricket Club

Berkhamsted CC is a Club with a 125 year history that is thriving on all fronts with 4 Saturday men's teams playing in the Herts League, a sunday men's team that normally plays friendlies and a women's team that plays in the Home Counties Premier League.  We also enter local and county T20 competitions.   Our junior section is one of the biggest in the UK with over 400 boys and girls playing in 16 teams plus a large all stars group.  In 2020 we expect to welcome over 100 girls to the club and we are aiming to become a centre of excellence  for Women and Girls Cricket over the next 3-5 years.

We are a Focus Club, with Clubmark status. We play on a two-square field set in one of the most attractive settings in the Home Counties with a traditional pavilion with a large decking area from which to watch the game. We also use the school squares on the field adjacent to ours for our fifth and part-time sixth XIs. Our practice facilities include four top-class ECB-standard non-turf nets and two bowling machines. Our main pitch is graced with
a state-of-the-art electronic scoreboard. Our clubhouse has undergone an extensive refurbishment and is a delightful spot in which to relax and watch sport, share a drink with friends and take in the best setting for cricket in the home counties.

We employ a Head Coach, currently James Bell, and we have a large group of qualified coaches.
