About Berkhamsted Cricket Club
Berkhamsted Cricket Club has a more than 150 year history that is thriving on all fronts with 4 Saturday men's teams playing in the Herts League, a Sunday men's team that normally plays friendlies and 2 women's teams that plays in the Home Counties Premier League and the Herts League. We also enter local and county T20 competitions. Our Junior section is one of the biggest in the UK with over 500 boys and girls playing in over 20 teams plus a popular All Stars Programme. We are a centre of excellence for Women and Girls Cricket by appointing a dedicated female coach.
We
are a Focus Club, with Clubmark status. We
play on a two-square field set in one of the most attractive settings
in the Home Counties with a traditional pavilion with a large decking
area from which to watch the game. Our practice facilities include four
top-class ECB-standard non-turf nets and two bowling machines. Both pitches are graced with a state-of-the-art electronic
scoreboards.
Our clubhouse has undergone an extensive refurbishment and is a delightful spot in which to relax and watch sport, share
a drink with friends and take in the best setting for cricket in the
home counties.
We are an ECB Disability Cricket Champion Club offering coaching sessions for children aged 8 to 16 years with special needs.
We employ a Head Coach, currently Nav Akhtar, and we have a large group of qualified coaches.
