Match report Toss lost and Exiles opted to bat first. We started well in the field and things only got better with a near perfect fielding performance.

Toby and Dipesh opened well and after a few overs Stephen triggered off an inspired performance by all by firstly catching a high ball from silly mid off that was going over his head and then next ball running behind Toby who hadn't quite managed to reach a caught and bowled chance to snaffle the catch. Inspired, and it caught on. After Toby bowled the skipper, Charlie swooped at mid wicket to put an inch perfect throw over the stumps for the run out.

The skipper joined in taking two swirlers in the gusty wind at wide mid on off Vinit. Another perfect run out from Toby to Tim finished off the innings at 87. This skipper has never seen such a good fielding performance in the 3s - and he's been around a while!

All the bowling was excellent with a mention for John K, who bowled beautifully for no reward.

The batting started ropily going to 3-2 and 28-3 with all the first 3 wickets going to short balls gloved behind from trampolining bounce on a slightly damp wicket. The bowler responsible from the top end was good and had to be seen off before more damage was done. Oscar and Charlie were the men for the job and they watchfully built a good partnership to nearly see us home before John helped Charlie finish it off.

Congratulations to all for a marvellous team performance which sees us move up to 5th in the table.
