Match report New season and scrabbling around for where everything is. No change there then.

Good to be back on a day of 23C (that won't last long).

S Adelaide win the toss and opt to bat and Harry and Dharmin start steadily. Dharmin hurts his shoulder so quick change for Mike Stone who justifies the switch with 3 wickets, all bowled, in his straight through spell of 8 overs.

Not satisfied with that, he also pulled off a great pinging throw from the boundary right over the stumps for an impressive run out.

Mark, meanwhile is struggling after the skipper forced him (Mark's words) to bowl downhill. He just couldn't get it right. He switched to medium pace ("No faster than your spin" was heard from the slip) and was much better off. Bending it like Stokes. Ought to be a film.....

Dan Macey from the bottom and Dharmin back from the top end, once Mark had finished, did the job sweeping up wickets with 2 each and Harry tidied up the last for a low total to chase.

After an excellent tea featuring a spicy beef madras, Pete was out straight off to a skiddy LBW and Dan to an excellent off-the-toes catch at square leg. 1 for 2.

But Mike played classy shots and together with Steve and then Puds, saw us most of the way there before being out for 47. 25.4 overs to knock them off.

Well played lads. A nice start to the season.
