Match report The U14's kept up their 100% record with a comfortable home win against Tring Park after arguably their best performance of the season so far. Mike Antonelli kept up his 100% record of winning the toss and batting. Olly O'Gorman and Seb Smith took the attack to the bowlers straight, scoring at around 7 an over from the start. O'Gorman batted superbly to reach his maiden half century and when Adam Drury was given out LBW despite being half way down the track, Tring threatened to get back into the game. Luke O'Dair and Ben Beard came together for a very rapid 76 partnership, as Ben managed another cheeky not out!!!!!!
The bowling was excellent from the very first ball, with Jordan Harrison marginally failing to clatter the stumps. A couple of great catches, one a full length dive to a genuine leg glance by Charlie Benson and another tumbling effort from Harrison soon had Tring wobbling at 21-3. The batsmen battled back strongly though, despite very accurate bowling, particularly from Mike Antonelli and excellent ground fielding from the whole team. Quite how Tring didn't lose another wicket remains a mystery, but they were never going to threaten the impressive total and Berko eased to the win.
A top performance by the lads, who can hopefully repeat it at Shenley tonight.
