Match report The U14's (this time masquerading as the U15's) continued their winning streak with a comfortable win at Boxmoor. After being put into bat Berko made 131-9, largely thankls to Seb Smith (31) and Huw Barnett (27) as well as some pretty average bowling, which yielded 29 extras. Berko even managed to get over an alarming middle order collapse which saw 2 new members of the primary club and Jordan Harrison being run out without facing a ball.
The bowlers quickly made in roads into the home sides batting, with 3 wickets in the first 3 overs from Harrison and Ben Beard. Skipper James Chambers was able to rotate the bowling and all bowled well, producing very good figures throughout, with only debutant Jake Bourke not amongst the wickets. Charlie Benson followed up a useful 15 no with a fine catch behind the stumps and 2 stumpings to round off an impressive performance.
