Match report Another excellent performance against an inexperienced Hemel side.

We batted first and the top 3 set the tone with some measured batting before increasing the pace of scoring, Oliver T starring retiring on 32. Some tighter bowling and a few loose shots cost us wickets but some clean hitting from Theo T and Will S kept up the pace of scoring and we made 130 off the 20 overs.

In the field, our opening bowlers Jack P and Will H destroyed the Hemel top order bowling 3 maidens and taking 4 wickets in the first 4 overs. Captain for the day Joe H did a great job marshalling the field and wickets fell at regular intervals thanks to this and straight bowling. 7 bowlers ended up with wickets.
Hemel did themselves credit with some resistance in the lower order but were eventually all out for 40.

Particularly pleasing again was feedback from Hemel about how impressed they were with the boys spirit in the field, something the coaches highlighted at the start of the season. Most importantly they really looked liked they were enjoying themselves!

Tougher tests to come but a job well done.
