Match report Well summer certainly arrived on Sunday and what with the travel diversions it was a fairly hot and bothered group that arrived at Dunstable for our latest game. We lost the toss again and the Dunstable skipper asked us to bat, a decision he was soon to regret. We got off to a solid startbefore we lost our first and only wicket when Jandre was bowled for 10. This did not stop the flow of runs with Ben M batting majestically before retiring on 32 ( including six 4's). George (30 NO) and Dan (17 NO)continued to plunder the Dunstable bowling.This pair proving to be an ideal partnership with Dan nudging the singles allowing George to play the more flambouyant strokes.This enabled us to reach our highest total of the season 119 for 1.

So we entered the field in the sweltering heat knowing we had a large total to defend and would be able to ensure everyone got a bowl.Pick of the bowlers was Matt who took 3 wickets for only 9 runs.There were also wickets for Eddie, Ed, Max and Jandre as we restricted Dunstable to 83 for 8 to win by 36 runs.

A great effort and I would like to thank the boys for their great team ethic. Having lost 1 game we now have to win the remainder of our games to qualify for the finals at the end of the season. This means not all the boys are getting a bat as we need to have our stronger batsmen in the top order. I'm glad to say the boys have accepted this well and seem happy to part of a winning team
