Match report After two heavy defeats the Berkhamsted Touring XI made their way to Street hoping to end the Tour on a high. After winning the toss Ian Dent decided to bat first but once again the pitch didn't suit the Berkhamsted batsmen as they crept along in the early overs. Only Peter Drury played the lengthy innings required for his 20, whilst Roger Smith and Dent gave support briefly. Guy Lewis swept his way to 11 but when Sam Harlow was run out the innings ended with a small total of 117.

After tea, Dent gave hope of victory with two early wickets but Street's two first team batsmen looked at ease for long periods as they brought the score towards 100 whilst every bowler in the side had a go. Sam Harlow bowled a terrific spell and was very unlucky not to pick up a wicket.

Guy Lewis was brought on for some entertainment and got the Captain out LBW reverse switch hitting. Lewis was then hit for 20 in his next over and swiftly removed from the attack. Dent brought himself back on and had young Matthews sharply stumped by Peter Drury with his off-spin. He then yorked their best batsmen trying a switch hit and had Lam caught to give the visitors an outside chance of a shock. However, Street got over the line to end the closest match of the Tour.
