Match report Berkhamsted ended up fairly comfortable winners of a game that was switched to Kitchener's Field after a postponement earlier in the week at Chorleywood. Batting first, Berko had a tricky start after losing Ted Stanford early on, but Jack Filer (31 ret), Charlie Nicholls (13), Oli Holdroyd (21) and George Lewarne (13) pushed the score on quickly towards a hundred. Chris Lovett (10 not out) played sensibly and with the help of some great running from Matt Bottrill (4 not out) took the total to 121-5. With Chorleywood's opening pair looking confident and playing some decent shots, it looked to be a gettable total. But a corking ball from Jamie Slater and three quality run outs from Anna Nicholls, Matt Bottrill and Harvey Lewis saw off the top order and Chorleywood never really recovered. Ted Stanford and Ben Miles both picked up a couple of wickets and Jack Filer had another good game with the gloves. Hightlight of the day, though, was a superb catch from Anna Nicholls which capped a superb all round fielding performance from the team.
