Match report We arrived at the incredible Merchant Taylors School sports complex to find steady rain falling. Their captain Ash assured us that the rain would stop at 1pm and incredibly it did so once the covers came off we got underway. We had 4 U14s in our team plus a player stuck in traffic so our bowling and fielding effort was great - OMTs no 3 batted really well and held their innings together whilst wickets tumbled at the other end. Chris was in the thick of the action taking 2 wickets and 3 catches including a very sharp one handed effort at short cover to finish the innings. George took 2 good catches and Finlay's legspin had the batters in knots. Harry cleaned up the tail to finish with 3-14.

After tea we set about chasing down 120, a couple of early wickets went down so Justin and George accumulated well to stabilize the innings - after drinks Justin played positively and survived a couple of drops to top score. George played a couple of lovely legside shots before being run out. Chris finished things off for us with 3 overs to spare. An enjoyable game.
