Match report Arrived at Enfield Grammar School to find a VERY wet pitch - after half an hour delay pitch had dried out at the ends so we decided to play. Deep and Tom quickly had oppo 7-4 - Deep bowling away swing and Tom big induckers a real handful for any batter. Oscar also bowled very well and with loads of edges eluding keeper and first slip it could easily have been 25 all out. Looked like Holtwhites might eventually scramble up to around 100 but some suicidal running between the wickets finished them off for 87 in the last over. Our dropped catches got to double figures by the end including an interesting one from Oscar who tried to balance the ball on top of his head - good party trick. Highlight of the innings was a bored Finlay asking to be moved from point only for the next ball to go straight to him for a catch - which he took. Skipper was very pleased to get through 40 overs in exactly 2 hours, like the old days!

Oppo bowling was very weak and Kavi took full advantage racing to a very quick 50 to wrap up the game so we could all get back to the club in time to see the 2s and 3s win their games. The ferocious fives are back!
