Match report Really disappointing loss this weekend, with 8 dropped catches and only 3 batsmen making it into double figures.

The bowling attack did well to keep the runs down to 144 considering the fielding frustrations that saw everything from 5 players being nut-megged by the ball in the outfield resulting in 15 unnecessary runs, to having the opening batsman dropped 5 times. Jake bowled exceptionally well but had 3 very easy catches dropped by senior members of the team. Fortunately OC had better luck with his wickets.

The batting was without a doubt almost as bad as the fielding, and possibly worse than our performance against West Herts V earlier in the year. Alfie did well to hit his maiden senior 50, and was really only supported by the skipper and Jacob.

If only more senior members attended training more frequently I believe that the 4th XI could have a great deal of potential for the future. They have often survived as a result of one player making the difference, and are now seeing that the performances that proved match-winning last year, have not proved to be the case this year.
