Match report The U12s racked up a huge score against bottom of the league Flamsted bowlers, scoring over 200 for the first time this season. Nearly all the Berko batsmen enjoyed themselves in the evening sunshine, none more so than Jonathan Harvey who scored 32 off just 10 balls, finishing with a big six. 4 other batsmen reached an unbeaten 30 before retiring - Matthew Hopkins (30), Adam Cowland (31), Josh Roberts (30) and Sam Hauck (30) against it has to be said some very poor bowling. 16 wides did not help the away teams cause.

Facing this huge total Flamsted put up a good fight in particular McClelland who hit 4 boundaries in an excellent 24. However the other batsmen never got going with Jack Wiggs and James Sidwell taking 2 wickets each. Some of our pace bowlers took the opportunity to try out some spin bowling, with mixed success although Matt Hopkins looked like he could develop into a very useful off spinner. Our fielding was not at its usual high standard with 5 catches going down.

So one game to go with our close rivals Tring breathing down our necks. Can we clinch the title next friday at home?
