Match report Sadly a bit of a mismatch. Stand in captain Josh Roberts kept up his exemplary record of losing every toss, but got he wanted when Flamsted inserted Berko into bat on a wicket so dull and lifeless it matched the leaden skies. Flamsteds bowlers then served up an assortment of wides, no balls, head high full tosses and balls so slow that the batsmen often missed them. George Parker was able to demonstrate his overhead smash - not in the cricket text book but perhaps a future Wimbledon champion. Amazingly, not one of the Berko batsmen managed to reach 30 but with the aid of 55 extras and 4 dropped catches we managed to score a healthy 140 for 5 off our 20 overs. George Parker top scored with 23 and there was a good undefeated 6th wicket partnership between James Lagdon (20) and Ethan Mackie (11) at the end of the innings.

We didnt need to be at our best to bowl out Flamsted for just 62 but it gave the opportunity to bowl 10 different bowlers. Josh Roberts picked up another 3 wickets, George Parker, James Lagdon and Ben Angell all picked up 2 wickets each and James also pulled off a stunning catch. Theo Freedman made a solid debut with some good glovework behind the stumps.

Not really a game to remember, but another 20 points win.
