Match report A very exciting game with the 4s losing off the very last ball. Andy had won the toss and decided to put West Herts into bat. West Herts number 3 was unbeaten and held their innings together, the star of our show was Jack Rees who got both openers out and then returned later to clean bowl the last 4 batsman. If we ever get the Honours board up in the clubhouse Jack will be on it! Honourable mentions to Finn, Camryn, Nat and Henry who also bowled with skill and control and picked up the other 4 wickets.

Our batting lineup had plenty of experience but faced with a barrage of nonsense appeals from the opposition there were perhaps a couple of dubious decisions and at 22 overs we were facing defeat at 56-5. We then saw some tremendous batting from Peter and debutant Camryn who took the fight to the opposition with an 81 partnership until Peter was run out, more from exhaustion than mis-calculation. Camryn fought on with the lower order until we needed 8 off the final over. Alas it proved too much for the boys, Jack needing a boundary off the final ball he hit a great shot through extra cover but was run out coming back for a third which would have tied the game.
