Match report A poor batting display cost berko points

After losing the toss and bowling 1st berko had letchworth 142-9 in there 53 overs. Good bowling all round tight fielding and good cathing had seem to put us in a strog position. Only needing 142 in 44 overs as we were slow in bowling ours seemed still an easy task and a deck tht was getting quicker and better.... a berko chase!

after an early wicket hammond and bray played with ease to 33-1 off 10 this had soon slipped to 49-5 and 61-6 berko played loose shots and we were paying the price. Janaway and gerrard took the attack to the oppo but when janners was bowled for a quick 31 daz steered the tale through to the last over.
The first 3 balls seen out fine, edge the 4th for 1 leaving stu hardy 2 balls to face and keep letchworth from taking full points.
Hardy gets a rush of blood only to loop a miss timed pull to square leg who falls over his laces and the ball hits his chest and to the safety of the floor!!
still horrified by the 5th ball stu dead bats the last ball and calmly walks off! 9 points won sadly 21 points dropped!
big mention to daz who played very well with a gutsy 29 not out!

a few bad decsions but mainly very poor execution of shots! 2 big games in 2 weeks now so game heads on!
