Match report Saturday 2s Lose against Baldock in Division 5.

The wicket was very poor after the original strip had been damaged the previous night by the local Baldock chavs. So after losing the toss there was no guessing that we were to be batting first. Sherjan and Brownie both batted well in the middle of the innings but once they were out we offered little resistance.

The positives from the performance were in the field with everyone contributing with excellent teamwork.

The individuals that shone with the ball were Dave Sherjan who bowled throughout for 3 wickets at less than two an over. But the biggest mention goes to a fine bowling performance from Ian Dent who managed figures of 6-43.

Unfortunately despite dropping a catch to tie the game we ended up on the losing side, losing by one wicket.

We look forward to our first home game of the season next week and the opportunity to play on a decent pitch.
