Match report Another frustrating match with the toss allowing the opposition to save a draw after being outplayed in all aspects of the game. Tim Buckley and Ian Campbell established an opening partnership of 149 in 27 overs, creating a base for a ferocious onslaught from Toddy, who scored 80 off 45 balls supported by Julian Dent with a cameo of 29 to finish on 281 for 2 allowing a the declaration after 42 overs.

Opening with Goughy and Huw Barnett and the old ball, Cockfosters made no attempt to chase the runs, their score merely reflecting the aggressive field settings used to secure the wickets. After Martin Gough took the first wicket, James Chambers took three wickets in an over and was backed up by an agressive spell from Ian Merrett who share the opportunity with James to take a hat trick - neither succeeded. Gough's return brought 3 more wickets, though Barentt bowled just as well to go unrewarded. Seb Smith and Michael Antonelli bowled very tightly but were unable to secure that elusive last wicket, despite almost 8 overs at the last pair. Berko 19 points, Cockfosters 3.
