Match report The sunday 2s secured a dramatic one wicket win on the very last ball of the match. Hatfield Dynamics had batted first and racked up a big score of 220 thanks to opener T Stephens who made an impressive 86. There were 3 wickets for Jacob and 2 each for Martin and Tomas plus a great one handed catch by Chris Lovett.

Berko's reply got off to a shaky start with 4 wickets down for 48. Skipper Guy hit a quickfire 19 with 4 boundaries before skying one which brought together Mark and Tomas who put together a fantastic partnership of 117 for the 6th wicket with 13 year old Tomas advising Mark throughout on how to pace the innings! Just as it looked like this pairing would bring home the bacon, both were out and with 4 overs to go we still needed 30 to win. James and Jamie were both out chasing quick runs and suddenly we needed 10 off the last over with just the last pair in. After scampering a couple of 2s Martin was apparently run out but the bowler had already broken the wicket so eventually it came down to 2 needed off the last ball. Jacob got a leading edge, the ball spooned up into the middle of nowhere and somehow our heroic duo scrambled home for 2 runs to secure a famous win.

A splendid game of cricket against a very nice bunch of guys.
