Match report what turned out to be a nail biting match was played out in great spirits with a youthful academy side captained by Riaz against Old Berkeley plus 2 berko players, played out in a good spirit with 35 overs a side saw Berko win by 2 wickets in the last over, with Hamish Jarvie batting well despite being dropped twice. Great batting earlier from Jack and Adam, the latter following up his century the day before with an excellent 50 today. good support throughout, and an excellent 50 from Riaz saw us home. Despite the oppo's openers getting off to a good start, some excellent tight bowling from Tom Horsborough, bowling 3 maidens in a row and eventually taking 3 wickets slowed the run rate, despite an big middle order stand Old Berkeley only just passed 200 with some good bowling from Hamish down the hill at the death. This total proved not to be enough, and we won in the last over for an excellent result for our youngsters, well played everyone!
