Match report In the end a comfortable win for the lads. Oli Storey and Jack struggled initially against good seam bowling but after the 4th over they really accelerated and at the half way point the score had raced along to 81 with Oli hitting a fluent 50 retired. Jack was caught out soon after for 29 and then there was another good partnership between Harvey and James which left us finishing on a commanding total of 146. George was late to the party due to starring in that well known summer play Aladdin so was only able to add 1 run to his big total this summer. We weren't quite up to our usual high standard of shot making although a lot of credit should go to Boxmoor opening bowler Jamie Vincent-Jones who bowled with pace and movement to bowl 4 overs for just 6 runs to really check our progress.

Our bowling brought immediate success with Oli Holdroyd pumped up after bagging a duck, steaming up the hill to take 2-12 in 4 fiery overs. Jamie came on to grab 2 wickets, one a beauty clean bowling a dangerous player, and there was just time for a couple of late wickets for Josh Peacock and occasional bowler Oliver Storey to cap a fine evening for him personally. Most of the team got a bowl and the spectators enjoyed a warm evening with wine and beer added for good measure.
