Match report Top versus second. Cooler day following several scorchers.

Skipper won the toss and we opted to bowl. Flat and slow wicket didn't help the openers who toiled for no joy. On came messers Dight & Lewarne. Suffice to say with 8-30 of 13 Mr Lewarne takes the plaudits. Excellent bowling; control and precious few bad balls - he dropped Humphries first ball who went on to be not out! Dighty brought the necessary control to contain their run rate and between them they bowled very well and made Broxbourne's batting look very ordinary.

On that note, Broxbourne's bowling made our batting look very ordinary. We made extremely hard work of what should have been a straightforward run chase. Mr Debonnaire got us out of jail with his lusty 68 off about 10 balls!

We need to shore up our batting and play with more discipline.

The reins are handed over to Luke for the next three Saturdays as it is now family holiday season. Good luck to all.
