Match report At last the sun came out and we enjoyed a beautiful Sunday morning's cricket (even if the result was a little cloudy and damp).

BCC lost the toss and were put into bat and started brightly with James K attacking the openers with venom. However some quick wickets from some straight bowling pegged BCC back and with the field closing in, the scorecard began to stutter. A brief respite with Daniel and Dominic putting on a stand into double figures but again we failed to score anywhere near enough runs to threaten.

That said the boys gave everything in the field (a few minor gaffs aside) and at 9-2 the game wasn't over with Ismaeel picking off the openers in successive balls (one a sharp C&B). The hat-trick ball was not to be though but he was ably supported by Marcus K at the other end who bowled superbly who grabbed another wicket. However some inconsistent bowling then followed with too many wides costings us runs despite a couple of more wickets in the mix.

Watford in the end ran out comfortable winners with a few overs to spare but now the sun is out, we can look forward to the rest of the season.

A good effort by everyone so let's really focus on scoring a few more runs and cutting out the wides and we'll get our first win before too long.
