Match report In a season wrecked by rain we were lucky to get a game in with dark clouds circling above but oddly passing us by. This was a very one-sided contest and it was unfortunate that Chipperfield could only bring over 9 players, with some choosing to sit at home and watch the football on TV.

We won the toss and batted first and despite losing Casey early on Dan and Peter were soon peppering the boundaries with excellent shots off the front and back foot. Peter made a typically quick 32 and Dan cruised to an inevitable chanceless 50. Elliot and Hamish added some useful runs at the end of the innings and it was good to see a couple of our U13s helping out by keenly fielding for the opposition, well done Dominic and Eddie - great attitude.

After 3 balls of the Chipperfield innings it was more or less all over with Hamish bowling numbers 1 and 3. This allowed us to give everyone a bit of a bowl and we also completed a couple of excellent run outs, including a fine bit of boundary fielding by skipper Casey. The boys had a lot of fun on a windy evening but it would have been good to have a stronger opposition.
