Match report Finally a game of cricket for the U15s following 3 rain cancellations and a team pulling out of a game. The lads took full advantage and stormed to an easy victory. Nick Tivey led the way with some well timed back foot shots off loose Boxmoor bowling, but the innings stuttered with Casey and Dan going cheaply. Fortunately Nick was joined by George who was in fine form and together they took the score well past 100 before Nick had to retire. Boxmoor struggled with line and length so we got the benefit of 32 extras.

In contrast our bowling was very accurate and although Boxmoor got off to a reasonable start we were always in control of the game. In particular our spinners Dan and Ben slowed the run rate right down. Then legspinner Harry came on to remove 2 batsmen with 2 perfectly executed googlies, a delight to watch. Hamish returned to take 2 in 2 and the hat trick ball was mighty close to off stump with the batsman nowhere. Only 2 wides in 20 overs showed what a disciplined performance this was. James kept superbly despite a crack on the knee and only let one bye passed. Well done lads - next game on the 15th June.
