Match report A game thrown away for the intrepids....The Intrepids were inserted on a sticky dog of a wicket and lost a wicket early. Young George Almond and the ancient Atkins then occupied the crease for 20 overs batting sensibly against some good bowling. When Atkins finally got himself out to a mistimed pull shot Sam and then Rob pushed the score ahead rapidly. We set them 176-4 which should have been plenty and was when they needed 77 off the last 10 but with 4 old crocks,1 man down and a rapidly drying outfield and wicket the game changed in the last 10 overs. If you throw in a couple of dropped catches, missed run-outs, missed stumpings and over throws then we got what we deserved going down with only 2 balls left...Gutted to the core we were but praise to young George who carried his bat for 53
