Berkhamsted Cricket Club Won BCC won by 16 runs

Match report Despite another woeful performance with the bat, (aside from Kian who again delivered a great innings and carried his bat for 30no)BCC produced one of the comebacks of the season bowling AB out for just 71 having set them a meagre 88 to win.

Some very tight line and length from all the AB bowlers had BBC in all sorts of trouble and aside from Kian no-one was able to make any impression and get beyond single figures. However they kept their heads up and delivered a sublime bowling and fielding display which keeps them in the hunt for a Quarter-Final place.

Pick of the bowlers were Josh and Benjie picking up 3 wkts each and some fine catching around the field (Jake, James, Jack x 2 and Tom) and a lightning quick stumping by Charlie not only kept the score down but meant that not one of the AB batsmen could settle either. A tense finish with AB's big hitter still at the crease, but reluctanct to take the singles, ended in a miscue to a very deep mid-on which was well held by James to seal the win.

Great character from all the boys and as a unit they supported each other and it paid off. Not sure what we need to do with the batting but very proud of their performance in the field, although remember boys, it's not lawn bowls (you know who you are....)
