Berkhamsted Cricket Club Won by 91 runs

Match report A home game at last and a great performance from the boys. Great credit to the boys for taking on board the comments made after the Dunstable game, the bowling and fielding this week was excellent.
We won the toss and opted to bat unfortunately we lost Jandre early but Ben was in great form and made his 33 in quick time before retiring. Dan (32) then joined George (31) and they put on 58 runs before retiring with their wickets intact. Some quick runs from Max(14) and Ed (16no) saw us total a formidable 141 for 2 at the end of our overs. Oh, nearly forgot we also saw the first 6s of the season from Dan and Ed.
With such a large total I was able to ensure most of the boys got a bowl. Eddie and Logan opened the bowling but were bowling against Boxmoors best batsmen and couldn't make the breakthrough despite some tight bowling.Their openers put 33 but a smart catch by Dan off Jacks bowling made the breakthrough and the wickets started to tumble. Matt and Jandre and Alex each took a wicket , George took 2 wickets in his first over and a caught and bowled gave him 3 wickets from his 2 overs. Dan then wrapped things up taking the last 2 wickets , the last wicket to fall a smart stumping by Ben who had a excellent game behind the stumps. boxmoor were bowled out for 50 runs seeing us win by 91 runs.
