Match report The warm sunny weather at easter came crashing to a halt with the start of the cricket season. Nevertheless on a cold blustery evening the 2 teams put on a good game with Berko coming out on top against a spirited Watford team. Berko batted first with openers Alexander and Freedman adding 50 for the first wicket albeit a little slowly. Alexander eventually went for 44 containing 8 boundaries and with Wiggs, Hauck, Williams, Cowland and Prunty all chipping in with some lusty blows the total moved up to 125 for 5 after 20 overs.

Watford made a hesitant start and jack Hunter picked up 2 early wickets. Then good batting from Azhaan, Adnan and Ryan really pushed the scoreboard along and a victory was on the cards. However once Adnan went for 32 the innings fell away with Jacob Lewarne taking 3 quick wickets. Berko caught really well with Rob Pruntys 30 yard running catch from a skier being the pick.

Thanks to the umpires for taking a pragmatic and consistent approach to wides which meant we weere able to finish the match in reasonable light.
