Match report A superb victory by our U14B team who thoroughly deserved their success in winning the first ever U14B county trophy. It has been a real pleasure to see this team develop this year, with every single player making valuable contributions at key moments. The team spirit has been fantastic and the team has been well captained by Jack Wiggs and it was Jack who led from the front in the final making an aggressive half century in our total of 134. Also, Nick Williams hit 2 big sixes in a quick 28.

Frogmore have a strong batting line up and we were all wondering whether the score was enough, but a couple of early wickets including 2 run outs put us on top. Then Daniel Albon cut loose and sped to 53 before retiring and with 5 overs to go the game was evenly poised. The 17th over was crucial as Jacob Lewarne returned to take 2 vital wickets and apply the brakes to the scoring. Frogmore needed 12 off the last over but Nick bowled a tidy over and we were the champs!

A lovely warm day and very generous hosts at Sawbridgeworth made this an enjoyable day for all who attended.
