Berkhamsted Cricket Club U14 A v Abbots Langley on Mon 24 May 2010 at 6pm
Berkhamsted Cricket Club Won BCC won by 27 runs

Match report We went into this match with some trepidation missing 5 key regulars but we shouldnt have worried as the depth of our squad is getting stronger and players can come in and make vital runs and take wickets. This evening it was 2 unsung heroes, Calum Alexander (35) and Robert Spencer (51 not out) who did the damage. Calum was particularly strong on anything short pulling 7 balls to the midwicket boundary. Robert was more traditional in approach, some lovely cover drives and delicate flicks off the legs, one of the best innings we have seen so far this season.

Our bowling and fielding effort was a bit ragged, a couple of dropped catches, quite a few wides and some short stuff which disappeared. George Parker was the best of the bowlers and was unlucky not to take a wicket, Ethan bowled with pace and bounce and Josh kept their big hitter relatively quiet at the death. We now face a very tough game at Kings Langley tomorrow evening.
