Match report The U12B team kept up their unbeaten run but it was a close call.

We batted first and got off to a shaky start with 3 early wickets going down. The boys struggled to find the boundaries against some wayward bowling from Watford. Jamie Slater struck an excellent 22 and there was a good partnership at the end between William Bickerdike and Matt Buckley. Watford conceded 31 extras to get us to a reasonable score of 84 off 20 overs.

Watfords reply got off to the worst possible start with their first 4 batsman all falling to catches off Will Goodwyn's bowling for just one run! Great spell Will. After that determined batting from the opposition middle order combined with a horrid number of wides and byes from Berko gradually got Watford back in the hunt. Jamie then bowled a good spell and Amish Adodra took 2 wickets in one over leaving Watford needing 9 runs from the last over but despite 2 more wides, we held onto win by just 3 runs. Next game tomorrow evening against Abbots who are our closest rivals for the title.
