Match report Already guaranteed a place in the knockout stages, Berkhamsted U12s were brushed aside by some fantastic bowling from fellow quarter-finalists Langleybury, who won the game comfortably by 58 runs.

Having been put into bat, Langleybury posted what looked like a par total of 101-7 with Ball(32) and King(31) both retired unbeaten. Charlie Nicholls (4-0-2-15) was the pick of the bowlers but overall it was an unusually lacklustre performance in the field.

Things didn't get much better for Berko with the bat. A combination of excellent bowling from Lloyd (4-1-9-1) and Denham (4-0-12-3), poor shots and some shambolic running between the wickets left the home team reeling. Ball (2-0-7-1) and Hardie (2-0-5-3) finished off the tail and Berkhamsted were all out for a very disappointing 43.

Langleybury go into their quarter final against Hertford full of confidence after a really thumping win, while Berko need to re-discover their form in time for the match at Knebworth next week if we are to progress to finals day. Come on guys - you can do it!
