Match report An enjoyable friendly where every player played a part including scorer Josh Roberts and supporter George Lewarne who ended up guesting for Boxmoor when 2 of their players failed to show. Berko batted first and although no-one got past 20 there were several retirements which allowed most of the team to have a bat. Jacob Lewarne (18 retired) and Calum Alexander (17) top scored and Robin Niven also batted well for 14 not out. We finished on 111 after 20 overs.

Boxmoor's batting has been fragile all season and Nick Williams in a rare excursion from behind the stumps took 2 quick wickets to put the home team in trouble. This unfortunately for us brought George into bat and showing total disregard to his own club he proceeded to bash the Berko bowlers around, finishing on 31 retired. Meanwhile at the other end Boxmoor's Trevilion was leading a charmed life, being dropped 6 times - this proving to be a fairly clever tactic as it deprived Boxmoor of Josh Roberts's batting until 4 overs from the end. As it was we managed to keep Josh quiet and ran out easy winners, Adam Cowland taking 2 wickets and a superb catch.
