A day of mixed emotions for our Junior teams on Finals Day.

Our Under 11s who had been unbeaten in their league campaign were unfortunately missing a number of key players away on holiday and were comfortably beaten by a strong Sawbridgeworth team in the semi final. Due to awful weather at Knebworth the third place play off game was cancelled but the boys won a bowl out to secure third place in the County which now goes with their runners up place from last year. Congratulations to the team and manager Dave Lewis on another very successful season.

Our U15 team, meanwhile, were at full strength and looking to win their second trophy of the year at Finals Day at Langleybury. They did so in style, defeating Shenley LC in the semis with a superb batting display and then routing Reed in the Final - bowling them out for just 36. Well done to all the lads and manager Andy Chambers for an absolutely fantastic season. (Photo's are in the Gallery section)

There is no rest for the U15s - they play the regional National qualifier tonight, away at Queens Park Bedford.

Back at Berko, we successfully hosted the U13 Finals Day, which was won, inbetween about a dozen rain interruptions, by Shenley Village, who defeated Knebworth in the Final.
