Match report Toss lost on a sticky pitch from heavy overnight rain and no surprise we were inserted. Batsmen had to work very hard for their runs and front foot drives often resulted in the ball going to hand. But we worked hard and Matthew Brown, Niloy and Amour particularly did the right things and built our total. With OC hitting a few boundaries at the end and the last pair running all available runs we stretched to 151-7. Looking good on that pitch.

Ben and OC were their usual parsimonious selves, Ben bowling 8-3-7-1 and Ian 8-4-13-2!!! The other end was not so tight but the pressure was building on them with wickets falling regularly. Big praise for the catching, with Phill's running catch behind the bowler and Ben's behind the keeper - the latter to take out a dangerous batter who had just hit two huge sixes - were the pick of the bunch. Not a single catch dropped! Well fielded all 11 of us.

Although very tight (they needed 30 off the last 5 overs at one point, very achievable), Ben came back to finish it off as a competition.

Well played all, beating the 2nd placed side.
