Match report The under 15's produced an outstanding team performance to beat both Boxmoor and the weather. Batting first, an excellent opening partnership between Adam Drury and Max Jones got the team off to a flyer, before debutant William Steed came to the crease and scored an excellent 50 at dramatically quicker than a run a ball. Valuable contributions from the middle order led the team to an impressive 161 - 5 from their 20 overs.
The Boxmoor openers got off to a good start, and as the rain began to fall heavily the odds on the match being abandoned began to tumble. Captain Ben Beard brought on Huw Barnett and Michael Antonelli to bowl spin in an effort to get throught the overs before the match was called off. The two then produced combined figures of 8-3-13-7 as Boixmoor collapsed from 47-0 to 62 all out, with Adam Drury applying the coup de grace with his opening ball.
The win sets the team up nicely for their next match - the County cup semi final on June 1st.
