Berkhamsted Cricket Club Lost Tring won by 42 runs

Match report Tring proved too strong for our Under 9s on a blustery evening at BCC. Tring batted first and posted a strong total of 265, Naveen top scoring with 6. There was good bowling for Berko by Eddie Duncombe who only conceded 2 runs in his 2 overs and by Sam Pimm who took our only wicket. Matthew Dight also bowled accurately.

Our Under 9s are still struggling with batting, leaving many balls that could be hit, missing straight balls and running erratically between the wickets - it reminds me of our adult sides! They will improve over time and with more coaching but on this occasion they only managed to reach 223 for the loss of 6 wickets. Matthew Dight and George Carter had got the innings off to a decent start and at the end Seb O'Gorman and Sam Pimm were undefeated in a partnership of 17 so we have some good performances to build on next week.
