Match report Loss the toss and was inserted on a sunny day.

Pete gone first ball. Not a good start. Then a rusty Dave snicked one and after a small recovery period Mike ran himself out. Puds and Dan rebuilt really well with a 69 stand but after it was broken the wikets ticked away with no one able to stay around and we subsided to 134 on a a very good pitch.

Mike struggled opening the balling and had to be switched for Mark but Dipesh opened well. After this the spinners Mark and John bowled well to get us some wickets. On figuring that slow bowling was the order of the day, Pete came on with his dibbly dobblies and the scoring stayed slow. The oppo took it to 94 for 5 and were favourites but their preference for the pacier stuff was denied by swapping back off Dipesh and bringing back Pete. Wickets started falling again and Jess was the heroine taking 3 of the last wickets as they fell to 106 all out.

A strange day of no one (except Puds and Dan) being able to get going on a good enough pitch. A really good win given the first innings performance
