Match report A good win for the 4s on a drizzly, windy day and a difficult batting wicket.

Our bowling was excellent throughout and at one point it looked like Hatch End wouldn't reach 70 until a few late boundaries from their tail enders took them close to 3 figures. Our seamers Dharmin, Nat and Ben did the bulk of the damage with Ben also collecting 4 catches to add to his 3 wickets. Jake chipped in with one to boost his seasons tally and Adam took a wicket with his only ball to round off the innings in the 36th over.

Our response was a tale of 2 batters, Andy opening and playing an uncharacteristic but valuable knock, a patient undefeated effort to see us through to victory and a typically aggressive innings from Adam of 8 scoring shots including 6 boundaries. Although we lost 4 wickets in the process we won the game with 12 overs to spare.

This victory secures third place in the division with 2 games to go although due to recent defeats to the top 2 teams it is now unlikely we will gain promotion.
