Match report The under 14's clinched the league title with a comfortable win against St Albans.
Batting first, Olly Hopkins and Alex Hubbard got us off to a flyer, racking up a partnership of 42 in only 7 overs. Consistent scoring from all the batsmen, aided by some dreadful fielding helped us to a formiddable total of 159-6 from our 20 overs.
Scenting the title the boys ripped into St Albans' batting, reducing them to 17-3 after 4 overs, with Jordan Harrison doing the damage with 2 wickets and a run out. A very committed bowling and fielding display meant that from that point the result was never in doubt and the final result was a comfortable 49 run win.
A fantastic effort by the entire squad to win the league with a game to spare. All that is needed now is 1 more win to round off an unbeaten season.
