Match report A brilliant match played in Arctic conditions between 2 very good teams.
Berko won the toss, chose to bat and looked in trouble at 3 for 2 after 3 overs with Trings top quality openers steaming in. The recovery was magnificent though with Charlie Doe and Joe Hubbard seeing off the onslaught before opening up and playing some lovely strokes, Charlie retiring on 30. Ben Oldham, Harry Oldham, Will Hunt and Will Stanford then accelerated the innings perfectly and Tring looked ragged in the field as Berko ended on 118/7.
In line with recent performances Berko were full of energy in the field with every boy involved in preventing Tring scoring at the required rate. Jack Pemberton and Charlie Doe contained Tring's talented top 3 before Luke Hopcroft and Oliver Todd came on to take the crucial wickets of Trings big hitters with help from a great catch by Will Hunt. Ben Oldham and Will Hunt then closed the Tring innings with 3 nerveless overs. Harry Longbottom stopped almost everything behind the stumps and Ollie Carolin was heroic in the field saving runs and keeping the Tring run rate down with them ending on 99/5. A great performance, keep it up boys!
