Match report The 2nd home match of the 3rd's season that has been played at the end of July and we were pleased to remind ourselves of where the club was.

Old Albanians won the toss and opted to bat, and 2 quick wickets gave our bowlers heart. Watt coming in at number 4 was obviously at far too low a level of cricket, though, and showed he could play proper and powerful shots to all parts. It turned out to be his debut for the club. He won't be long in their 3rd XI.

When he was finally dismissed the scoring slowed right down and wickets fell regularly again to the admirable bowing of the youngsters of Prunty, Jarvie and Furlong. A sterling effort.

A very promising 2nd wicket stand of ove 60 by Dudley and Putman put pressure on OA and their heads weer well down not knowing what to do next. Overthrows were regularly scored and they were in disarray. Unfortunately, with their dismissal looking to up the rate to get towards the target the wickets tumbled to undisciplined shots and it was left to OC and Furlong to see out a draw.
