Match report Our 4s slid to their 4th defeat on the trot against a harpenden team containing several very impressive youngsters. After going to the wrong ground, we won the toss and decided to have a bat on a warm but windy afternoon at Rothampstead Park. Sadly we never got past second gear and we were indebted to a patient 48 from Pete Dudley. There were cameos from Julian and Oli OG and a late flurry of boundaries from Will and Jack but we found it hard to get away their young offy who finished with a five-for.

After an all fresco tea, part of which blew into the mouth of a passing dog, all the Berko bowlers struggled in the strong breeze and although we chipped away taking wickets it always looked like Harpenden would get home which they did with 3 overs to spare. Still, 15 points was a welcome step forward to help the league position.
