Berkhamsted Cricket Club Lost Redbourn won by 3 wickets

Match report Writing this still a little dissappointed but also proud of what the boys have achieved this year. Unlike recent weeks a damp evening saw us asked to bat by Rebourn. Faced with some excellent bowling only Ben M and Dan made double figures and we scrambled to a meagre 51 allout off only 15 overs. (well done to Alex 9 and Jack 5 who made their top scores).

After a pep talk we took to the field with a positive mindset. Some excellent bowling and fielding saw us chip away at the Redbourn wickets and with great catches from Eddie,Ed and Alex and a fine run out by Dan we were in with a chance of winning the game. Unfortunately,despite 4 wickets from Dan and 1 from Eddie and Jake Redbourn scraped past our 51 to win by 3 wickets.

Overall we have had a great first hardball season. They are a great bunch of boys who will go to be good (some great) cricketers. Many of the boys find batting difficult especially when confronted by good bowlers, so this is the area we need to work on.
