Match report An excellent all round performance by the boys with some lovely strokeplay, tight bowling and good ground fielding on a lightning fast outfield.

It was an almost perfect summers night at Kitcheners fields and the clinking of wine glasses complemented the crack of willow on leather as Berko's young batsmen enjoyed an evening in the sun. Pick of the batters (as so often this season) was Jonny Harvey who ruthlessly put away the bad ball for 4, retiring on 32 without running a single. Jacob Lewarne's innings of 32 was a tad more patient but he played some belting cover drives to complete his first retired 30 for the club. We finished on 138-4.

All our bowlers performed well especially Josh Roberts and Jonny Harvey who bowled the first 8 overs for just 27 runs and 3 wickets, which effectively sealed the match. After that there was 2 wickets for Rob Spencer and 2 for James Sidwell as Hemel never looked like repeating their success from earlier in the season. Champagne moment belonged to Jack Hunter who took a magnificent one handed diving catch at backward point.
