Boxmoor v Berkhamsted Cricket Club Under 11 A on Tue 05 May 2009 at 6pm
Berkhamsted Cricket Club Won Berkhamsted won by 66 runs

Match report Berkhamsted U11A ended up comfortable winners in the second league game of the season away to Boxmoor. Having won the toss, Berko opted to bat first and, despite losing an early wicket, made rapid progress with some good hitting and running between the wickets. The highlight of the innings was a great partnership between Jack Filer (19) and George Lewarne who hit six boundaries in his total of 32 not out (retired). Having been set 128 to win, Boxmoor were soon in trouble and found runs very hard to come by against some quality bowling. Harry Ormerod took two wickets with his first two balls (both great yorkers) and Oli Holdroyd went one better, clean bowling three batmen in one over. Other wickets went to Ted Stanford (2), Harvey Lewis, Jonathan Butler Caddle and Ed Tidey. Will Goodwyn bowled well on his debut and was unlucky to finish without a wicket to his name. Boxmoor were all out for 61, but with 47 of them coming in extras, there’s plenty of bowling and fielding practice needed before the Chorleywood match.
