Berkhamsted Cricket Club Won Berkhamsted won by 22 runs

Match report The opening partnership of Casey O’Gorman and Alex wooldridge score 32 runs in their 4 overs. Casey dominated the bowlers scoring 25 runs including 4, 4’s. The middle order played sensibly and Myles, James W, Jamie W, and Mathew P scored steadily, they kept their cool and did not lose a wicket. The closing partnership of Hamish and Ben A meet some fast and accurate bowling and Potten End managed to claw back a few runs by taking a wicket.

While our team didn’t manage to take a wicket, we bowled accurately, only bowling 5 wides/no balls in 16 overs. Most of Potten Ends runs came from singles due to tight bowling and committed fielding. Mathew Pollard bowled a maiden over.

The team was ably captained by Ben Atkins whose field placements and encouragement showed great leadership.

The Match was played in good spirit and the boys were a credit to their clubs. Long may the sunshine continue.
